Club Bylaws

Age Restriction

Legal Drinking Age
All members and guests must be at least 21 years of age to consume alcohol at Fortuitous. Valid government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID) is required for age verification. 

Minors
Minors under the age of 21 are not permitted on the premises, including during special events. Exceptions may be made for private events and/or family-friendly events, provided prior arrangements are made with management. 

Behavior and Conduct

Member Behavior
All members and guests are expected to behave in a respectful and courteous manner. Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior towards staff or other members/guests will not be tolerated.

Consequences
 Members and/or guests engaging in such behavior may be asked to leave the premises. Repeated offenses or severe breaches may result in a permanent ban from Fortuitous. Please note that no refunds will be issued for any membership fees or other fees in the event of expulsion or a ban. 

Health and Safety

Hygiene
We are committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Members and guest must comply with all health and safety regulations, including hand sanitizing stations and cleanliness protocols.

Emergency Procedures
Members and guest should familiarize themselves with emergency exits and evacuation procedures, In case of an emergency, follow staff instructions promptly. 

Alcohol Consumption

Responsible Drinking
We promote responsible drinking and reserve the right the refuse service to any member or guest who appears intoxicated or displays unruly behavior. 

Membership Policies

Application and Approval
To become a member, individuals or groups of two must submit an application. Membership is granted upon approval by Fortuitous at management's discretion. 

Fees
Approved members must pay the applicable membership fee to activate their membership. Fees are charged monthly.  

Membership
We offer a $350/month membership. Each month, each membership will receive 300 credits that the member is able to apply to any purchases at Fortuitous or Vendome Wine & Spirits. For membership benefits, please inquire membership page or a Fortuitous staff member. 

Automatic Renewal
Memberships automatically renew each month, with charges applied on the first day of the month. 

Charges for New Members
New members joining between the 1st through the second-to-last week of the month will be charged the full monthly fee. No partial month charges apply. 

Termination
Memberships can be terminated by either the member or Fortuitous with appropriate notice. Members must provide a 30-day notice to cancel their membership. If notice is not provided, the member will be charge for the following month's membership fees. 

Pausing Membership
Active members may request to pause their membership, changing their status to non-active. A 30-day written notice is required to pause the membership. Members may pause their membership a maximum of twice per year. During the pause period, membership benefits are suspended, and credits do not accrue. 

Credit System
Purchases at Fortuitous are made using credits, with a conversion rate of one dollar to one credit, cash, and card payments. Active members' unused credits roll over to the following month. Credits earned and used are as outlined in the membership benefits. Credits can not be transferred between memberships.

Non-Active Members

Definition
Members who do not pay their fees or have paused their membership will be classified as non-active.

Grace Period
Non-active status lasts for three months. During this period, members can pay overdue fees or resume their membership to avoid termination. After three months, if the membership is not reinstated, it will be terminated, and the member will need to re-apply for a new membership. 

Impact of Non-Active Status
Nn-active members will not accrue credits. Access to events will be restricted for non-active members. Non-active members cannot use benefits, including guest passes, until their status is reinstated. 

Reservation Policies

Reservations are required for all events. Reservations can be made online or over the phone. Active members may use guest passes for event, but must place a reservation in advance for themselves and their guests. 

Service Policies

Payment
We accept various payment methods, including membership credit points, credit/debit cards and cash. Gratuity is appreciated and can be added to the member's discretion. 

Assistance
For any issues or requests, please approach our staff. We are here to assist you and ensure a pleasant experience. 

Noise Levels and Music

Noise
Members and guest should keep noise levels reasonable to ensure a comfortable atmosphere for all guests. 

Music
Music and entertainment are provided at management's discretion. Requests for music preferences should be made in advance. 

Food and Drink Policies

Outside Food
No outside food is allowed.

Allergies and Special Dietary Requirements
Special dietary requirements or allergies should be communicated to the staff, and we will do our best to accommodate. 

Smoking and Vaping

No smoking or vaping are not permitted.                                                                                                            

Property and Personal Belongings

Personal Items
Members and guests are responsible for their personal belongings. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items,

Lost and Found
Lost items should be reported to staff. Unclaimed items will be held for a period of 30 days before being donated or discarded. 

Dress Code

Attire
Relaxed and traditional attire is welcome throughout the Club. The dress code applies to all persons, members, and guests. It is the responsibility of the members to inform their guests, prior to the visit, of the dress code and other club rules. 

RELAXED ATTIRE FOR MEN : Collared shirt (including polo shirt), slacks, khakis, jeans, and closed-toe leather shoes, deck shoes or athletic shoes. 

RELAXED ATTIRE FOR WOMEN
 : Dress, skirt, slacks, khakis, jeans with sweater, shirt or top, and open or closed-toe shoes, loafers, dressy sandals, or athletic shoes. 

TRADITIONAL ATTIRE FOR MEN : Business suit or collared dress sport jacket and slacks. collared shirt, necktie and closed-toe leather dress shoes or equivalent military, religious or public agency attire. 

TRADITIONAL ATTIRE FOR WOMEN : An equivalent standard as for the men, such as dress, business suit, pantsuit, blouse, skirt, tailored slacks and dress shoes (including open or closed-toe shoes, loafers, and dressy sandals), or equivalent military, religious or public agency attire. 

NEVER ALLOWED : Torn jeans, T-shirts, shorts: sweats (including leggings, warm-ups and jogging suits in all fabrics) and athletic wear; frayed, bleached or torn clothing; exposed underwear; bare midriffs; or excessively revealing clothing or clothing which, in the judgment of the staff, might be offensive to members or guests. Shoes: Flip-flops, men's open-toe shoes. 

Enforcement
Management has full discretion to determine and enforce what constitutes appropriate attire. Management may refuse entry to members and/or guests not in compliance. Exceptions are to be only authorized by management and noted on the announcement of the event. 

Compliant and Feedback Mechanisms

Members are welcome to provide feedback or file complaints directly with the management. We aim to address concerns promptly and professionally. 

Special Events and Private Bookings

Event Policies
 Special events or private bookings may have specific rules or altered policies. These will be communicated to guests at the time of booking. 

Changes
Any changes to regular service during events will be noted in advance. 

Amendments to Bylaws

Updates
Bylaws may be updated periodically. Changes will be posted visibly on our website and communicated to members if applicable.
